Welcome to the Mikva Action Civics Network

Welcome and thanks for joining the network!

Every day, all over the country, Action Civics teachers are pioneering innovative and responsive forms of authentic democratic experiences, project based learning and youth leadership in their classrooms.  Mikva Challenge coined the term Action Civics in 2007 to describe our type of student focused, project based, experiential civic practice.

The Mikva Action Civics pedagogy focuses on engaging learners in opportunities to use their voice and apply their skills and knowledge in authentic ways. The Network was created in this spirit. We hope to engage educators to use their voices and apply their learning here.
